You are automatically covered for working abroad with no time limit... if you are already insured as a Health or Wellbeing Professional through Balens on one of our Malpractice schemes for your Professional Liability with Zurich, as long as you are resident in the UK/Republic of Ireland. This excludes USA and Canada although we can usually include this for a small additional premium per trip.

Balens can currently provide cover to residents in Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Gibraltar, Republic of Ireland and The Netherlands.

Balens are currently working on our Pan-European scheme for professionals who are resident abroad and these will be ready in early 2012. This takes much time due to the complexity of different local laws and regulations in each country.
